What’s a Little Adventure?

A Little Adventure is a new, bite-sized challenge that makes it easy for families to get outside and get out of their comfort zones.

How it works

How it works

Step 1

Meet with one of our Scouts

A Scout is a local guide who loves Destin-Fort Walton Beach. Whether you meet them at an Adventure Outpost or chat with them online, they’ll help you discover new adventures and build the confidence to keep exploring more. They can help you register for a free class, introduce you to adventure packs, or provide inside tips to experience Little Adventures on your own.

Step 2

Choose your Little Adventure class

Every Little Adventure is designed with kids in mind. It’s a first step! These classes introduce kids to adventures like fishing, surfing, paddleboarding or encountering sea creatures, and more. Using the filters or the calendar, choose one that’s right for you. Sign up and then come on out. That’s all there is to it.

Step 3

Start your Little Adventure

Once you book your free spot, you will receive a text confirmation and reminder notifications. These classes are free and you can cancel any time. Spots are limited (only 7-10 kids at time) so please sign up to reserve your spot!

How do I sign up?

You can sign up right here. Simply click the class you’re interested in, select a time and book! From there you’ll receive a text notification and reminders.

Where are classes held?

Little Adventures classes are held on Crystal Beach at Adventure Outpost #1 or anchored by a mobile Outpost that travels to locations along Okaloosa Island. When registering for your class please be certain to note location as classes are held in multiple places.

What’s a Scout?

A Scout is a local guide who loves sharing Destin-Fort Walton Beach’s marine culture. They’ll show you the way by giving your family opportunities to learn and try new things. They can also help you register for free, weekly classes and point you in the direction of more adventures around you.

Little Adventure Experts are local, small business owners who are passionate about sharing the Destin-Fort Walton Beach water culture with kids.

How long is each class?

60-75 minutes.

How much does a class cost?

What our adventurers are saying

These classes teach kids new skills and new lessons. But are they any fun?

Caleb, 9

My favorite part of the whole day was doing something on the beach I thought I would never do.

Knox, 5

I don’t always have good days, but today was a good day!
