About this Adventure

Watch your kids build a connection with themselves and the water during this 75-minute introduction to surfing. Class begins with an intro to safety, wave formation (how to spot waves on the horizon that are perfect to ride versus those you should duck under or jump over), establishing a drift game plan together based on current, and what makes Destin-Fort Walton Beach an ideal place to catch a first wave and work on surfing skills. The calm, clear water here provides ideal conditions for beginners to get a feel for the waves, ride a few in, and spot some colorful fish or even a sea turtle along the way. And while there are perfect waves for learning most days, the water is shallow enough to stand up throughout their lesson.

This class is recommended for kids age 6+. Life jackets will be supplied but kids must know how to swim.
